| Grant Thornton LLP, on Tuesday named a new chief executive officer to replace Edward Nusbaum, which has been promoted.|
Stephen Chipman, 47, is director of the Chicago accounting firm on 1 January. Mr. Nusbaum is leaving the Chicago office to Chief Executive Officer of Grant Thornton International Ltd, the umbrella organization for the Grant Thornton global offices. Mr. Nusbaum, the Chicago since 2001, during which time revenues grew to 1.2 billion U.S. dollars from 400 million U.S. Dollar.
Mr. Chipman is from the Hong Kong Grant Thornton office, with the name of Greater China Management Corp. He is Chief Executive Officer of the unit, which for two years.
He joined Grant Thornton in 1986 in Plymouth, England, in the office. He became the Managing Partner of Dallas in 2000 and then Managing Partner for the U.S. central region in 2003.
