| Australia will receive 25 million dollars from a Hong Kong-based shipping company in compensation for a massive oil spill.|
The Pacific Adventurer released about 200,000 litres of heavy fuel oil off the coast of Queensland on March 11th during a fierce storm.
The oil that leaked from the hull was one of Australia's worst-ever oil spills.
The compensation will be paid by the Swire Group, the owner of the ship.
The ship's Filipino captain, Bernardino Gonzalos Santos, 47, has already been charged with illegally discharging oil, and also faces a large fine.
