As a result of his appearance with the YouTube Symphony in New York this spring, Modesto surgeon Dr. Calvin Lee was invited to solo in the Mendelssohn Violin Concerto in Hong Kong, Aug. 22nd Lee leads the second and third movements with the Hong Kong Medical Association, a group of doctors from mainland China, Taipei, Hong Kong and the United States. Lee was also invited to the Sarasate "Zigeunerweisen" with the Youth Symphony Orchestra Macau in Macau, China, on 25 Aug. Lee said he learned the two groups of messages on the YouTube symphony.
