Sex has many health benefits including stress relief, strengthening the immune system with a higher level of immunoglobulin A, the improvement of cardiovascular health, increasing self-esteem, improve intimacy, the reduction of pain through the production of the hormone oxytocin, which risk of prostate cancer, strengthens pelvic muscles, and the promotion of good sleep. Sexual behavior can be a disease vector. "Safe Sex" is an important harm reduction philosophy. A stereotype is that maintained MSM are sexually promiscuous and unprotected sex, but studies have largely discounted these allegations. A 2007 study reported that two large population surveys found "the majority of gay muscle men similar numbers of unprotected sexual partners annually just men and women." With MSM, there are two forms of sexual activity lead to greater risks, anal and oral sex, even if not all MSM in them.
