| A teenager who robbed seven Hong Kong prostitutes in knife point, in some cases after they had sex with them, was for six years in prison Thursday. Li Ka-Chun, 18, has a series of robberies in June 2008 in the city apartments, where the prostitutes are, by themselves. He confessed to seven robberies and was sent to prison at a hearing in Hong Kong's High Court Thursday, Judge Gareth Lugar-Mawson, which his crimes were very serious. The case comes just two months after an unemployed man, the Hong Kong repeatedly slept with prostitutes and then bound, robbed them and it was for nine years in prison. Chong Kwonk-hung, 24, admitted stealing hundreds of dollars from four prostitute he slept with between October 2006 and June last year. Pressure groups representing sex workers have called for an amendment to a Hong Kong law, the women to work as prostitutes if they are in an apartment on their own. In 2008, four prostitutes were murdered in the space of three days in their homes. A suspect was later arrested and three of the murders. |
